In 1997, club founders Hunter McDonald and Lake Austin icon, Billy Garcia came up with the idea to start a wakeboard club as a way to build the local community. The following year the 360 Wakeboard Club was born.  With the addition of long standing board member Stone Slade and a few other board members that have changed through out the years, including Tommy Meirs & Scotty Voges, 360 Wake has become one of the top Wake Sport Organizations in the Nation.

 

The wonderful wake community & culture that can be found in Austin is a direct result of the hard work by the club over the last 12+ years. It’s truly unlike any other wake destination in the Country.

 

360 Wake has many firsts under its belt that have helped build both the community and helped local wake businesses flourish.

1. 1997 - 360Wake is the 1^st wakeboard club in Texas.

2. 1998 - 360Wake’s Waketoberfest is the 1^st major wake festival in Texas.

3. 1998 – 360Wake’s Aquaholics Anonymous is the first event of its kind in the World.

4. 1999 – 360Wake’s Waketoberfest becomes the first National event to include all industry boats and dealers to participate.

 

 

We will continue to lead the charge and overall progression of the wake industry in Austin, Texas and the surrounding areas in as we move forward.  As a way to maximize the efforts of our sponsors we are giving our website a complete overhaul so that it not only is a better representation of Austin and the club; but also a key marketing tool for our supporters.
